A short walk from the hotel, this 24.67-acre Japanese garden, donated by Queen Liliʻuokalani in 1907, honors early Japanese immigrants. Featuring bridges, pagodas, and a tea house, it remains open to the public.

Hawaiʻi Tropical Botanical Gardens

In 1977, Dan Lutkenhouse Sr. purchased a 17-acre parcel on the Big Island and opened it as a botanical garden in 1984 to preserve its beauty. Over the years, he planted over 2,500 species. Today, his children continue his vision with the Board of Directors.
